SOSS Station User's Guide
The SOSS Station User's Guide details the installation and operation of your station's SOSS computer, Audio Recording Automation (ARA), and DACS Capture software.
The text in this online version of the SOSS User's Guide is identical to the version sent to stations with releases 2.0 and 2.1 of the SOSS software suite in 1997. The introduction, preface, and table of contents have been reworked to help you easily navigate online.

Chapter 6: Integrating IF Buss Selectors and Digital Demodulators—Installation and operation of the SOSS IF components at your station.

ARA Operation
Chapter 8: Audio Recording Automation—The functions and underlying principles of the ARA subsystem in a station SOSS computer. It includes an overview of the system as a whole, and introduces the concepts that you need to know to operate the system.
Chapter 9: Setup Program—How to configure SOSS software.
Chapter 10: Local Schedule Editor—How to use the Schedule Editor. This chapter includes an extensive discussion of template operations.
Chapter 11: Operator Action Display—How to control the SOSS computer while it's executing the schedule.
Chapter 12: Direct Control Program—How to use the main control panel of your SOSS computer to tune demodulators, start tape machines, etc.
DACS Operation
Chapter 13: DACS Operations—Describes the setup and operation of the DACS software on a SOSS computer.
