Space Segment

NPR Satellite Services offers full-time space segment on Galaxy 16, Transponders 1, 3, and 5.

Our C-band service—highly reliable even in inclement weather—ensures dependable service to broadcasters, regardless of location. Benefits to our customers include the following:

  • Satellite space is redundant for greater dependability.
  • Channels are non-preemptible.

The satellite provides complete coverage of the contiguous 48 states, as well as Alaska, Hawaii, and the Caribbean, thus extending your station's ability to deliver data or audio to your entire network.

We also have Ku-space segment available on Galaxy XI geared towards use in translator networks. The satellite's footprint covers the continental United States (all of the lower 48 states).

For more information about our space segment solutions, please contact the Business Affairs office at 202.513.2618 or via email at prssbusiness@npr.org.
