There are a wide variety of private and public service law firms that are available to offer services to producers and other members of the public broadcasting community. An expertise in non-profit, media, and/or communications law is often desirable. Check your listings for practitioners in your locale.

Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts
Provides legal assistance to low-income artists, including contract services; copyright/trademarks/service marks; insurance and non-profit incorporation for a nominal administrative fee. Services are available in 42 cities nationwide. Publications list available. (NOTE: Due to a staff shortage, some callers may hear a recorded message at certain times.)
