Considerations for Live Programs
Live programs often require extra coordination by both the program source and Distribution staff. Keep the following points in mind for live programming:
- If your program transmits regularly in the early afternoon, twice a year stations may not be able to receive your program because of solar interference.
- Under most circumstances, if your live program is impaired, it cannot be retransmitted or "made good."
- Transportable uplinking services may be available for live events. Other special audio routing arrangements are also available.
- It is a good idea to schedule test time before your transmission so that possible audio routing problems can be minimized prior to the start of the program.
