FTP Program Submission Procedures

Anyone interested in submitting program material via FTP should first contact the STC Supervisors at 202.513.2641 or via email to obtain account and password information.

1. Prepare a single audio file with the following parameters:

   MPEG 1, Layer 2, 256 Kbps Joint Stereo, 44.1 kHz, 16 bit

   with a standard naming format:

   [YYMMDD—the transmission date and program name up to 30 characters-alpha-numeric ONLY] {i.e: 021225 Echoes Hour 1 Sonic Sea}

2. Using an FTP client, upload the file to our FTP site: ftp://stcaudio.nprsat.org.
   You will be prompted to provide your customer account name and password.

3. You will also need to send an email to STC_Supes@npr.org:
   

   • Notifying us that the file has been transferred

   • Verifying the recording parameters used

   • Specifying the program title, Program Identification Number, size of file, scheduled date(s) of transmission, channel, any rundown info and immediate contact information in case there is a problem.
