The 2014 Public Radio Super-Regional Meeting is coming up fast, and this year’s show presents a golden opportunity to hear about what’s in store over the new few years for interconnected stations and producers.

On Thursday, November 20, NPR Vice President and leader of the PRSS, Marty Garrison will moderate a panel of public broadcasting VIPs to discuss the strategy and plan for the future of the public radio interconnection system.

Panelists from NPR, PBS and American Public Media will detail the collaborative work to date, including the timetable, cooperative work with PBS, sources of funding and possible technology options.

The panelists are:

  • Mario Vecchi, Chief Technology Officer at PBS
  • Michael Beach, Vice President of NPR Distribution, which manages the PRSS
  • Nick Kereakos, Vice President of Technology and Operations at American Public Media, and member of the PRSS D/I Committee
  • Mike Riksen, NPR Vice President of Policy and Representation

Don’t miss this very important session. We hope that you will join us. For questions about the Super-Regional Panel, or to arrange a meeting with the PRSS, please call Earl Johnson at 202.513.2613 or send an email to: PRSSCustomer@npr.org.
