ContentDepot Implementation Advisors (CIA) to Assist in Transition

This fall, public radio will begin the transition to the PRSS ContentDepot, the long-awaited new program delivery system that takes advantage of new technologies to streamline the process of distributing and acquiring content. The ContentDepot will transform the way programs are sent, captured, and managed, creating more flexibility for producers, expanded access to programming for stations, and greater opportunities to serve public radio listeners.

As NPR Distribution begins the final phase of preparing for this transition in late 2004, it is essential that we help stations and producers prepare for using this new service model. To assist us in this effort, Distribution has invited a select group of public radio leaders and representatives to serve as ContentDepot Implementation Advisors. Along with members of the NPR Board�s D/I Committee, these �CIA� members will play an important role in the introduction of this new system, by making themselves available for occasional consultation with ContentDepot project staff on transition issues, by serving as conduits for questions and information, and by assisting in our planning for training events and learning opportunities.

Following is a list of individuals who have agreed to serve as ContentDepot Implementation Advisors, and the organizations or stations with which they are affiliated. Please feel free to share ideas, recommendations, or questions about the ContentDepot with any of these people, as you feel the need or as opportunities occur within your peer groups, regions or professional associations.

And of course, your questions and thoughts are always welcome by the busy bees building the ContentDepot. Keep abreast of project progress by checking this website regularly, or drop us a line anytime at prssplanning@npr.org.
