The Corporation for Public Broadcasting has made funding available to the PRSS to cover the replacement costs for a limited number of station satellite antennas across the system. To find out if your station qualifies for a new antenna, all you have to do is apply here. As part of the Ground Equipment Assessment and Replacement phase of the new interconnection system project, or “GEAR” for short, we will be evaluating the antenna of every station that applies to determine which antennas should be replaced. So, if you having reception issues (e.g., loss of signal, poor audio) or your antenna’s dish is in poor condition (e.g., segments separating, pitting, mount damage), we want to hear from you! The deadline for applications for this year’s funding is October 30, 2020.
