2009 PRSS® ContentDepot® Full Time Rate Plan
The transitional ContentDepot Full Time Rate Card is based on the concepts of data capacity and ingest mode. Data capacity is measured in megabytes and can be purchased in two service types: megabyte buckets and a streaming service. Both service types must be purchased on a six-month commitment basis.

Megabyte buckets can be used any time of day and are non-linear, in that this service provides producers the ability to distribute multiple programs at any given time. Capacity from the megabyte buckets can be used to distribute file-based programs or live streams. The transitional ContentDepot Full Time Rate Card includes large, medium, and small megabyte buckets, priced on a monthly basis.
The megabyte buckets are priced at a significant discount off of occasional rates and the distribution of program-related metadata, photos, web modules, etc., is included at no additional charge.
An ingest fee is assessed on all programming distributed via the megabyte bucket service. As with the Occasional Rate Card, the ingest fee is based on the mode by which programming is submitted to the ContentDepot.
Program distributors using the streaming service are required to distribute programs as live streams that must be sent as an uninterrupted feed to the Network Operations Center (NOC). This service is essentially unattended by NPR Distribution since programming enters the system in a continuous stream and switching is not necessary. The streaming service is available in 12 or 24-hour stereo or mono streams. A flat per-month ingest fee is applied.
