ContentDepot® Emergency Messaging System


The PRSS has implemented an emergency messaging system to provide an alternative way to communicate with stations and producers in the event of significant system emergencies or events. This emergency messaging system, which uses AMTELCO’s Red Alert, gives the PRSS a way to communicate via email even if our internal systems or Internet access at the Network Operations Center (NOC)  become unavailable. This emergency communications system would also be used in the event services are switched to the Backup NOC (BuNOC) in Saint Paul, MN.

This emergency messaging system replaces the BuNOC ListServ® email list. Your contact information that was used for the BuNOC ListServ will be used in the new system. Additionally, we will be using contact information from your profile in the ContentDepot portal. We encourage you to double check your contact information in the portal to verify that we have the most up-to-date information to reach you.


Steps to Update Your Contact Information:


1. Log into the ContentDepot portal.


2. Click on the "My Profile" link in the welcome box in the upper right part of any portal page. You will be asked to verify your password.


3. You must have permissions to edit user profiles in the ContentDepot to access this page. If you do not have these permissions, please contact your local ContentDepot administrator for assistance.


4. Review the information on your main "Contact Information" page. If there are any changes to your email address or phone number, please make them here by clicking the "Update" button. The phone number listed should be your primary, direct dial number if possible.


5. Next, click on the "Mail Preferences" tab to review your current message forwarding preferences. You can add alternative email addresses, a mobile phone, and a pager address. Mobile phone and paging address fields will only accept properly formatted email addresses. You must have a text messaging service established with your provider that enables email service to your phone or pager.
